NCA/LRA is the longest serving alcohol & other drug treatment agency in the Greater Lansing area, with over 50 years of continuous service.
All of NCA/LRA's treatment services are licensed by the State of Michigan, accredited by the Council on the Accredidation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and are income-based. The agency is publicly funded, assuring the highest level of quality, and oversight for the people we serve, and those who refer them. It also assures that services are provided regardless of an idividuals ability to pay.
NCA/LRA admits nearly 1,00 persons each year throughout our programs, and actively works within our community to advocate, educate and serve. We partner with other community organizations & promote a recovery-oriented system of care that is inclusive, informed & collaborative.

Our ProgramsAddiction is a chronic disease, and like other chronic diseases (hypertension, diabetes, heart disease), it requires a combination of therapeutic intervention and behavior change.
Changing behavior is difficult, and requires far more than just education and increasing knowledge; it requires a therapeutic approach. We believe in a person-centered, strength-based individualized approach to care. Everyone deserves recovery, the opportunities, and life changes sobriety offers them, and their families. NCA/LRA also assists clients with developing community supports to sustain their recovery (including AA, NA, CA, faith-based and other community groups). Our full continuum of treatment services, combined with our support groups, education, assessment, and housing programs assures that each client's individual needs can be met. NCA/LRA offers two of only a handful of long-term residential treatment programs in the State of Michigan. |
